Abstract: The analysis of the results of the university students, the observation of their attitudes and behavior in school
or university, suggests that there are some shortcomings in terms of management of studies and learning which is often a
source of failure and of abandonment.
This leads us to question the strategies put in place by the students; their degree of presence, their nature, their effectiveness
as well as their impact on student success or failure.
Success in terms of learning certainly depends on the mastery of curriculum content, but also on the implementation of
effective study and learning strategies that enable their acquisitions. Random studies and apprentice ships without recourse
to effective strategies could lead to failures.
The educational act should therefore focus on an implicit but explicit teaching of these strategies with a personalization
approach by the students.
To do battle, an analysis of the strategies put in place by the students, is essential. This step will be coupled by an analysis of
the nature of the strategies put in place by the students with their academic results.
A correlation between the degree of use of strategies in the organization of studies and in learning, would be able to shed
light on some causes of failure in academia.
The results obtained should make students aware of the importance of mastery and the implementation of study and learning
strategies that enable them to study and learn effectively and efficiently. This will allow them to manage the plurality of
modules provided during the study sessions. And the teacher to opt for a strategic teaching allowing a certain coherence
between the contents taught and the skills targeted with the students.
