Information Management system is usually used for maintenance and troubleshooting purposes only. A Telematics & Information Management system has been developed to facilitate a driver in driving, as well as maintenance of a vehicle. The designed system provides a broad spectrum of services ranging from automotive tracking, navigational, engine health monitoring, and driver-profiling to e-tolling. Cybersecurity facet of the CATIMS has been designed and developed to protect the system from a cyber-attack. The transmission of telematics data over a GSM/GPRS network can be intercepted and valuable organizational information can be compromised. The information transmitted by CATIMS device to central server and vice versa to CATIMS is encrypted. Industrial standard protocol SSL is used to secure the TCP socket which is primary communication channel of the CATIMS. AES is employed to secure the SMS, which is the backup communication channel. CATIMS device is based on an M2M Processor. CATIMS has an integrated on-board diagnostics (OBD) module to provide various vehicle parameters like speed, rpm, throttle, and fuel level etc. Embedded WiFi module pairsup with Nokia Lumia Tablet to provide tracking, and navigation functionality. C#.net and NI Measurement Studio based App powered by MS SQL Server added information management features to CATIMS. This paper presents the complete system design and development lifecycle (SDLC) of Cyber-secure Automotive Telematics & Information Management system (CATIMS).}, }
