According to the results, since librarians are the focus of clients of all types, levels, cultures and beliefs, the importance of professional ethics should be clearly explained for librarians. Hence, library regulations should give priority to ethical principles, as one of the professional and business requirements. As they adhere to other professional principles and guidelines, all librarians should observe librarianship ethics to achieve success in decisionmaking and giving proper services to the clients. It also enables librarians to give best services to public, as the existential philosophy of libraries. The basic norms discussed in the present paper are integrating knowledge and expertise with ethical values and commitment to the unbiased free flow of information, respect for self and others and respect for the privacy of others.
