WSDL (Web Service Definition Language), in XML format, is used to describe the web service in a platform independent way. The service explains the functional as well as the non functional properties. We introduce a new non functional property that is known as ‘criteria’. To include criteria information within the web service we have extended WSDL to X-WSDL. WSDL schema is extended by adding a new element ‘criteriaservice’ which is available in the new namespace. The WSDL document is extended by adding new attributes ‘criteria name’ and ‘description’ to service element. Using this extension it is possible to specify the criteria along with the service in X-WSDL document. A web service expressed in X-WSDL has to be published in the extended UDDI, X-UDDI. In this paper we discuss the mapping between the X-WSDL and X-UDDI. We map the attributes of service element with the BusinessServcie data structure of the X-UDDI. As a result, we are providing support to publish a service more appropriate to user’s requirement}, }
