International Journal of Information Studies Linda Lim 4 2 2012 https://www.dline.info/ijis/fulltext/v4n2/ijisv4n2_2.pdf This paper encompasses the factors affecting the localisation and internationalisation of web sites, more specifically, a virtual restaurant booking web site. A subset of the key web usability issues derived was used in the experimental design and was known as web site variables. These variables were classified into Text Elements construct, Web Interface Elements construct and Web Design Elements construct. This paper reports on the usability aspects of HCI, localisation and internationalisation of web sites, and the initial results of a main study phase.
