The major limitations of GPS receivers towards the course estimation are recognized as a low update rate (up to 10 Hz) and the impossibility to provide continuous navigation solutions in the periods of no signal reception. In this paper we have developed a model for the course estimation from GNSS and IMU systems and analysis of the IMU accuracy and behaviour during the dead reckoning situation.
