It operates in a more challenging environment than infrastructured network or even ad-hoc networks, and thus requires different kind of routing rotocol which adopts the store-carry-forward radigm. Many routing protocols have been roposed for it, however few of them has taken into consideration status of resources in making forwarding decision. Smartphone and other mobile devices nowadays are offering wider range of functionalities enabling users not only to make phone calls and sending short messages but also more resource consumed activities such as surfing the internet, sensing, collecting and ransmitting data. In this paper, we enhance a probabilistic routing protocol called PRoPHET to check the remaining energy and buffer space of nodes coming into contact before forwarding messages to them. A mobile device which has met more frequently to the destination node may not be selected to forward a message if its battery energy is insufficient or buffer space is full. The performance evaluations have shown that the resource awareness ability reduce the number of transmitted and dropped messages and increase delivery ratio. }, }
