We in this work have designed a micro-grid to optimize the energy storage capacity. For this exercise we have used an open source tool called GridLab-D for simulation of micro-grid elements. We have use the Matlab environment to run the optimization solver. We have also deployed the GridMat as the interface between Matlab and GridLab- D. To run the experiment, we have test eight different scenarios. Using optimization methods, we have used economic scheduling optimization problems on the micro-grid. The experimental results are analysed and presented in detail in
this paper.
