The relevant control strategy for the elevator group controller (EGC) is a complex optimization issue with several objectives. We in this paper have proposed the sequential-ring (S-Ring) model of EGC systems and a biobjective
formulation of the EGC optimization problem. Unlike the previous work, we use true multiobjective optimizers in solving this
problem. The testing on three real-world elevator systems has revealed the possible trade-os between the objectives and offer
a valuable insight into the problem.
