The designer had surveyed the user requirements before designing the GMS and existing online GMSs were also studied and evaluated. A Free and Open Source software application ‘Glossword’ was selected for the purpose. The system features were also studied and experimented before constructing the term base. Openness of such systems benefits worldwide users rather than building and rebuilding of same terms for similar purposes and reiterating the same effort for similar tasks. Instead, any course builder, material writer, compiler etc. can insert a common subject specific GSM link in online study materials, online courses, webographies, assignments etc. At the present the GSM is designed only for the courses in Social Sciences offered by the Faculty of Humanities & social Sciences, however the system can be adopted by the other courses in both online and conventional modes.}, }
