  abstract = {This research paper delves into the prospects and perceptions of library science
professionals regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the University of
Agricultural and Horticultural Science Libraries in Karnataka. The goal is to comprehend
the potential use of AI, along with the opportunities and challenges at
UAS in Karnataka. The study utilized a stratified random sampling method and a
close-ended survey to gather data from five Agricultural Science Universities in
Karnataka. The research encompasses socio-demographic information, perspectives,
and perceptions regarding AI in UAS libraries, the impact of AI skills implementation,
adopting AI tools and services, and ethical considerations in AI utilization.
UAS libraries have integrated AI tools like smart shelving, RFID, and OCR
technology. AI has the potential to enhance library activities, increase accessibility,
and improve decision-making in library services.},
