  <abstract>Plagiarism is in rise among the academic community in India. In this paper we define the concept of it and
highlighted the issues behind it. We made a focus on the various types of plagiarism practices in the academic and research world. We have also reviewed the existing laws relating to the plagiarism activities. We made a definite conclusion that plagiarism and its related activities should be eliminated.</abstract>
