Libraries are undergoing significant changes due to the impact of ICT and the
facilitation of remote access to e-resources. The paper discusses the factors that
influenced the transformation due to technology and changing user needs. It explains
the challenges faced, such as technological infrastructure, security measures,
and user authentication processes. Further, the opportunities for remote
access to electronic resources are explored, which include increased accessibility,
enhanced research opportunities, global collaboration, and improved user satisfaction.
