  <abstract>The study investigated the research scholarsâ€™ perception of the ethical use of information.
It evaluates the frequency and criteria used by scholars in accessing and
assessing digital information sources. The study also examined the research scholarsâ€™
understandings of copyright laws, plagiarism and their attitude in sharing digital
information. The studyâ€™s findings aim to inform the advancements of need-based
support systems and resources for the research scholars, enhancing their research
effectiveness and contributing to a productive academic environment.</abstract>
