However, it does not provide process for risk analysis. Also, many researchers consider architectural analysis essential for software developers. Therefore, Personal Integrated Process was designed to address the need for risk analysis and cost estimation at system level for individual engineer. It provides an improved risk identification and mitigation process with the capabilities of software project cost estimation at architecture level. A case study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed process. The impact of architecture design and evaluation on risk identification and cost estimation was determined by applying Personal Integrated Process. Software technical risks such as performance risks, availability risks, reliability risks, security risks were identified and mitigated successfully by applying this process. Software project cost was also estimated at architecture level and then compared with the actual project cost by applying this improved process. The scope of this research paper is to highlight results of the case study regarding cost estimation. This paper highlights cost estimation process in detail as it is the extended form of the previously published conference publication. It introduces an improved risk analysis and cost estimation process for individual software system engineer.}, }
