  abstract = {Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the emerging trends in library computing applications, which involves programming computers to do things through human intelligence. The simulation of the human intelligence process by computer machines. It works by ingesting huge amounts of labelled training data, analysing the data for correlations and patterns, and using these patterns to make predictions. The application of AI and related technologies in the library is pervasive. This includes expert systems for reference service, book reading and shelf reading robots, and virtual learning. This paper examines how AI and related technologies are being used in state university libraries and the perceptions of librarians in adopting those technologies in this digital age.

Design / Methodology: The survey responses were collected using an online questionnaire from the state universities, central universities, private universities, and deemed universities of Karnataka only.
