  <abstract>This study analyzed the impact of degree requirements on academic performance, specifically looking at the
requirements for obtaining a scientific degree in the Republic of Azerbaijan and how these requirements
affected scientific indicators. The study used data from the &quot;Web of Science,&quot; &quot;Scopus,&quot; and &quot;Scimago Journal
&amp; Country Rank&quot; databases to analyze statistical data by year and field of science. The findings showed that
publishing articles is crucial in improving the country’s scientific performance.</abstract>
