Bankar Et al. said, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionised the field of education and research by providing new and innovative tools that can help academia and researchers in various ways. AI-based tools offer many benefits such as personalisation, automation, accuracy, and efficiency. AI-based tools can potentially transform education and research by providing new and innovative ways to learn and research”. The paper focuses on understanding the awareness of general knowledge and opinion on AI Tools for research application among Tamilnadu’s academic and research fraternity. The respondents comprise an academic and research fraternity encompassing faculties, research scholars, postgraduate students, graduate students, and library and information professionals from various government and private higher education institutions in Tamil Nadu.
