The integration of information communication technology (ICT) in governance processes has the major objective of transforming the relations between governments and their people, by improving the efficiency and accountability of governments and by allowing citizens to become dynamic stakeholders in the decision-making process. This paper focuses on the institutional and contextual determinants of e-Governance implementation and public participation as well as the role played by institutional components.
