The research outlines the findings from a simulation of the close-range radiation region surrounding a ferrite antenna. It explains the HFSS model of the ferrite antenna, which includes a ferrite core, multiple wire coils, and a port for excitation. Additionally, the document displays the outcomes of estimating the antenna’s far-field boundary and visualizing the near-field elements. Conclusions were drawn regarding the suitability of this setup of the ferrite magnetic antenna for ground-penetrating radar applications.
