Many web testing tools provide to user the “record and replay” feature that, like any other testing process, aims to compare actual results with expected ones to ensure the application functionality. But this approach has failed functionally speakingdespite its widespread in most of web testing tools. In fact, the challenge of most developers is to ensure quality by increasing the test accuracy and at the same time speeding up testing process. Facing those urgent needs, and these actual facts (record and replay approach) it became necessary to find another approach, from this came the idea to create model-based tests. Model-based testing is a new approach in web testing world and unlike record and replay technique, just a few tools relay on. Due to all its functional advantages, we have chosen to create a web testing tool that is based on this powerful technique and improve it, in a way that simplify modeling implementation in order to reduce the rate of errors. Our System will be represented in a graphical user interface that allows user to choose, in factor of his need, between an automatictest cases generation to save effort and time, or a manual selection mode, in case of a specific test case is needed. The authors reiterated the need for information managers to realize that defining good strategies for effective information service delivery to users is an important component of information planning for its goods and services. In order to do this effectively, the authors suggested that information managers must adopt a combination of strategies in order to meet the information needs for their clients, some of those strategies were highlighted. The authors also canvassed for information managers to adopt management by objectives and total quality management style as a mechanism for effective delivery of information services to their customers. Five gaps that cause unsuccessful service delivery were also highlighted. This paper concludes that information managers should realize that they are key players in the information industry. The paper investigates the use of Information Retrieval Tools (IRTs) by the postgraduate students of selected universities in southwestern Nigeria. The study made use of descriptive survey and was carried out over a period of four months between January and May, 2012. The sample size comprises of 2,100 postgraduate students which were randomly selected from different faculties and served with copies of the questionnaire. A total of 1,923 copies of useable questionnaire was retrieved which represents 91.6% response rate. The responses were collated and analyzed using frequency counts and simple percentages. The outcome shows that respondents make use of IRTs for various purposes and that their university library user education and information literacy program forms the main source of their knowledge of IRTs’ usage. This shows that their university libraries play major role in assisting the respondents to make use of IRTs. Other findings show that the main IRTs made use of by the respondents is the Internet Search Engines. Other findings of the study also revealed that the use of the tools has impacted positively on their social and academic life and also broaden their global knowledge of diverse issues. The major constraint to their use of the tools is that of Internet fluctuations.
