Thus investments in Science is seen as the indication of knowledge production and growth of a country. Measuring the money invested in science and output is not always easy. The main issue is that, finding the output in research and development is a complex process. In industries it is an easy task to measure the input and correlate with the output. Science is not equivalent to industry in measuring the input and output. In science measurement systems, the document output is used as a yardstick. Since financial inputs play crucial role in progress of R&D systems, taking them in account when calculating the efficacy of this system will provide us with clearer image of R&D performance. The current paper intends to address the monetary issues in the research and development process to provide an optimum financial model. To achieve the objective, we try to find the cost, expenses and output and correlate with suitable products. Abstract In this research we find how the Indian geoscience researchers collaborate and produce science output. The dataset for this analysis the papers indexed in the global database, called as the Web of Science which is used. In this research we find how the Indian geoscience researchers collaborate and produce science output. The dataset for this analysis the papers indexed in the global database, called as the Web of Science which is used. The dataset is extracted with scientific records for the period of 20 years i.e. 1998-2017. We produce a few indicators which are given as belo. The values of degree of collaboration is 0.90, the collaboration coefficient is 0.62, and collaborative index is 3.8 which indicates that the output is emerged as the result of scientific collaboration and research network. We found that the output of the total research, 55.4% came from national level of collaboration which is followed by the international level at 34.3%. The most prefered nation for collaboration seems to be USA with 56 papers followed by UK with 25 papers in a total of 200 internationally collaborated papers. Interestingly we observed that the internationally collaborated papers get more citations (59.6%) whereas the natonal contribution is 34.8%. Citation per paper (CPP) for internationally collaborated articles is 22 while that for domestic collaborations is 8. Overall CPP is 13. Finally we found that the maximum 81.3% of papers are contained in the top ten journals of which Himalayan Geology occupies the top position. Further we looked at the correlation coefficient of top fifteen countries in agricultural literature producers with their GDP’s, GERD (Gross domestic expenditure in R&D) and Government expenditure on education. We tried to find the publications for India with an assumption that the publication of present year depends on the GDP of the present year, GERD of the previous year and Educational expenditure (EDP) of last second year by using Least Square linear Regression Analysis. In the analysis we found that both Observed and Predicted values fall on the same linear graph with correlation coefficient 0.9394 & 0.9613 respectively for Global agricultural publication and 0.929 & 0.9649 respectively for Indian agricultural publications.
