The study extends Kano’s model to LIS application area at micro level by visualizing three quality levels within a particular information category covering various features. ‘E-resources’ include sub categories like e-books, e-journals, e-thesis, and online databases etc., ‘Services’ contain SDI, OPAC, Document delivery/ Interlibrary loan etc., and ‘Web-centric’ aspects include aesthetic appearance of home page, content presentation, ease of use, search process in websites and other navigational aspects etc. The objectives of the study are to systematically examine the library websites features of IITs based on Kano’s Model, and to assess the quality level of Library websites of IITs based on scores obtained by specific features presence as checkpoints. The findings reveal that Mumbai tops the list with 1st rank (40 scores) followed by Delhi (32), Gandhinagar (32) with 2nd rank each, and Bhubaneswar (28) and Kanpur (28) with 3rd rank. The trailing IITs pertain to Guwahati, Ropar, Mandi, and Roorkee. The lowest rank i.e. 10th is shared by Indore. Category wise analysis of overall score of all IITs indicate that although the ‘e-Resources are rich and ‘Web-centric aspect’ features are well planned and established, yet there seems to be a lack of provision of effective ‘Services’ while accessing the desired services features. An evaluative study about the scientific collaboration between India and Thailand is essential to know the core strength and weaknesses of Indo-Thai collaborative research prospects. The current study makes a scientometrics assessment of Indo-Thai collaborative research from 1999 to 2018 and compares the collaboration growth with Indo-USA and Thai-USA collabo-ration of the same period based on Web of Science data. In the studied period, Indo-Thai collaboration has been growing at a greater rate than Indo-USA and Thai-USA collaboration, indicating the positive impact of Govt. policies. This trend is found to continue until 2030 with the forecasted data based on 20 years’ records with the visible declining trend in Thai- USA collaboration scenario. Further top institutions from both countries in the high cited Indo- Thai collaborative research was listed out. The high cited articles often had multi-country collaboration where Indian and Thai institutions actively partici-pated. USA is the top country that had a strong presence in the highly cited Indo-Thai collaborated papers. Keyword analysis of the high cited research articles reveals domains of health science, Physics, Particle property studies being prominent research areas of scientific collaboration between India and Thailand. Citation received by a research publication is regarded as the primary credit to the author(s) as well as the organization of the author(s) affiliated to. A good number of metrics are there to measure the impact and prestige of a given set of research publications as well as the productivity of the researchers. This study is carried out on a sample data of 312 highest cited research publications credited to Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam, India for a publication window of 30 years (i.e. 1989-2018). The sample drawn for the study is 10 percent of total of 3115 publications available in the Scopus citation database. Test of significance of correlation of the number of citations with the corresponding Field Weighted Citation Impact is carried out on 17 highly cited authors and found to be not significant in seven cases. Except in three cases, where the number of publications is significantly high, the significance of the correlation of the two mentioned variables is not predictable based on the number citations. Consistency of the author’s citation impact measured by z index reveals a high consistency in the citation window of the authors, but cases are obverted where authors credited with relatively fewer publications recorded very high consistency and ranked high as per z-index. The ANOVA test to see if there is any kind of association in the type of research collaboration and the citation received by the publications returned insignificantly. Correlation of the citation across three databases viz. Google Scholar, Scopus and Web of Science have been studied and observed to be significant in all cases. Keyword occurrences of high frequency along with their link strength have been studied and portrayed using VOSviewer application, while the subjects with citation peak have been ranked as per Citation Per Paper. Objective: Assessment and recognition of a university’s research status are essential for the university’s re- search planners and policymakers. This study examines the research productivity of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) as one of the best medical universities in Iran. Research outputs are at once a useful lens for education and an important instrument for the exercise of power in service of dominant norms in global higher education. Recent works have not assessed academic output (productivity) of TUMS. So as to rely on historical achievements that may be of more relevance, should focus on recent works, that is, those published in the most recent complete 5-year period.

Methods: The data of TUMS’ research output are collected from the SCOPUS database, which produced the list of 31253 research journal articles published in different journals since 2012 to 2016, by using different searching techniques. Some bibliometric indicators such as annual growth, subject segregation, authorship pattern, collaboration, degree of collabora- tion, author productivity etc. had been used to illustrate the research performance of researchers. To this end, a list of published papers at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences for the period from 2012 to 2016 was compiled. The data was analyzed by using SPSS 20. Result: Majority of articles (15.35%) were written on the subject of medicine, 49.4 (%) of the research work had been carried out by collaborative efforts. 437 (1.4%) publications, had been carried out by single author that belonged to TUMS. Majority of the research works (86%) had been produced by the collaboration of other organizations. Research cooperation with the universities of United States was highest, followed by United Kingdom and Canada.

Conclusion: There is promising growth in biomedical publication and collaborating research trends are increasing. Read More Read Less
