Accordingly, this study aims to highlight the efficacy and strategic importance of high quality regional research in driving university success. Scientometric methods offer a robust, structured approach to evaluating institutional research outcomes through publication and citation metrics. To this end, this study presents a comprehensive, data-driven analysis of the research performance of the top ten universities in the 2025 QS AUR. The analysis draws on bibliometric data extracted from the Web of Science (WoS) database for the period 2022–2024. A consolidated dataset was compiled from these institutional records, and Python was employed for large-scale data cleaning, processing, and visualization, leveraging libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib. Publication productivity was evaluated through annual output and growth trajectories, while citation impact was measured using total citations, average citations per paper, and the h-index. Furthermore, subject area profiles were generated to map thematic contributions, and collaboration patterns were assessed by analyzing the contributions of top authors. To establish a comparative research performance index, advanced indicators including the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) and Z-score-based composite rankings were computed. Visual analytics, such as trend lines and ranking plots, were utilized to provide deeper insights into temporal dynamics and relative institutional standings. This study evaluates the content, navigation, resources, design features, and user facing services of library websites associated with Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs). Against the background of the World Wide Web (WWW) and advances in information and communication technology (ICT), library websites have become important gateways to academic information, electronic collections, and networked services. The study surveyed 26 IIIT library websites using a 65-item checklist organized into seven broad categories. Websites were identified through Google searches and the official Ministry of Human Resource Development website. The initial evaluation was conducted in August 2023 and verified from 10 to 25 September 2023. Findings indicate that all websites provided basic background information, operating hours, membership details, library services, resource links, and a visual interface. However, important gaps remained: none provided an RSS feed, mobile page link, website content index, journal back volume information, or a feedback/ suggestion facility. Website update information was visible on 42.86% of sites, while only 57.14% reported several key digital resource categories. The paper recommends regular content maintenance, accessible mobile design, stronger discovery tools, feedback mechanisms, current awareness services, and broader access to electronic and open access resources. Purpose: This study examines the contextual and sectional relevance of citations received by scholarly publications in computational linguistics using Scite. It further investigates the relationships between supporting, contrasting and mentioning citations and the corresponding Scopus citation counts. Methodology: Both conventional and contextual citation-analysis techniques were employed. Scientific publications on computational linguistics were retrieved from the Scopus database. Contextual citation data were subsequently obtained from the smart citation index Scite.ai, an emerging classified citation database built with machine learning, artificial intelligence and natural language processing. A total of 15,607 documents containing classified citation statements were included. Data were analysed in Microsoft Excel and statistical tests were performed with SPSS. Results: The analysis reveals a steady rise in both publications and citations. The 15,607 scholarly works collectively received 3,872 supporting, 375 contrasting and 343,855 mentioning citations corresponding to 1.09 % agreement, 0.11 % disagreement and 97.23 % neutral research engagement. Mentioning citations dominate every year, reflecting a tendency among scholars to cite neutrally without explicit endorsement or critique. Although contrasting citations are far fewer than supporting or mentioning citations, they remain significant because they signal critical scrutiny and inconsistencies in the published literature. Among the ten journals with the highest publication counts, Transactions of the Association for Computational Linguistics leads in both supporting and contrasting citations. Spearman’s rank-correlation tests show a strong positive association between mentioning citations and Scopus citations ( = .839, p = .000), a weak positive association with supporting citations (  = .336,  = .000) and a still weaker positive association with contrasting citations ( = .153, p = .000). Sectional citation analysis indicates that the largest number of citations (6,031) fall into the “Other” category, underscoring the diversity of structural conventions in scientific communication. Conclusion: The investigation demonstrates the value of contextual citation analysis applied to computational linguistics research. The approach can be extended to author-, journal- and institutionallevel assessments to reveal genuine research impact.
