This enabled a comprehensive bibliometric analysis, ensuring the precision and applicability of the results. Some of the primary goals include investigating publication patterns, using a linear regression model for future number prediction, analysing temporal correlations, and illustrating worldwide collaboration through reciprocity scores. According to the publishing pattern in the dataset, there is a variation peaking at 44 articles in 2022 and decreasing to 39 in 2023. A forecast of 44.00 and 46.20 articles for the years 2024 and 2025, as predicted by a linear regression model, demonstrates forecasting potential. Correlation analysis reveals a positive relationship between the variables “Year” and “Articles”; however, this relationship is not statistically significant (p-value = 0.324). Oscillations of Average Total Citations per Article show that the terrain is constantly changing. The top ten countries, on the other hand, in terms of collaboration patterns, reflect substantial international cooperation by demonstrating bidirectional partnership positions. Findings reveal steady growth in UAE-based SA research, peaking in 2022 with 56 publications and an annual growth rate of 78%. K. Shaalan of the British University Dubai emerged as the most prolific author, while Zayed University, British University, and the University of Sharjah were the top contributing institutions. The UAE showed strong international collaboration, especially with the UK, Pakistan, and India. Open access publications received significantly higher citations, underscoring the importance of accessibility. Co-citation analysis identified K. Shaalan and N. Habash among the most influential UAE affiliated researchers, while globally, E. Cambria and B. Liu were frequently cited. Keyword analysis highlighted core themes, including “Sentiment Analysis,” “Social Networking,” “Machine Learning,” and “Natural Language Processing.” Despite a moderate correlation (r = 0.46) between publications and citations, the UAE’s growing scholarly impact in SA particularly in Arabic language processing and pandemic related sentiment studies demonstrates its emerging role in this interdisciplinary field. A total of 319 publications and 3,139 citations were recorded. Findings show a steady increase in citations over the years, with a significant positive correlation between year and citation count (supporting Hypothesis 2), but no significant correlation between year and publication visibility (rejecting Hypothesis 1). Nagabhushana H. emerged as the most productive and highly cited author, with an h-index of 23. Notably, publication output for top authors declined over time, despite rising citations. The most cited article (82 citations) focused on green synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles. The study highlights the importance of publishing in WoS indexed journals to enhance research visibility and impact, and recommends that faculty increase the number of high quality publications to improve institutional and individual academic standing in global citation databases.
