Abstract

Mendeley has become a well-liked reference management application with many features that make academic research and cooperation easier. This article explores Mendeley’s many uses, from essential tools for constructing libraries to sophisticated integrations and functionality that boost output. We will examine how users can utilise the Mendeley Cite add-in to effectively organise and cite references in Microsoft Word, making academic writing easier. Mendeley will also emphasise its solid collaborative features and research networking capabilities, demonstrating how these tools let scholars connect and collaborate. The essay also looks into Mendeley’s more sophisticated capabilities and integrations, such as cloud synchronisation, support for multiple citation styles and formats, and PDF annotation. Mendeley has drawbacks despite all of its advantages. We’ll talk about the drawbacks users could experience, like dependency on cloud storage, inaccurate metadata, responsive interfaces, compatibility problems, and customer service. This article attempts to give scholars the tools they need to take full advantage of Mendeley’s advantages while also being aware of its disadvantages by offering a thorough overview.
