Abstract: Old print documents need to be processed and organized that requires versatile systems. In this work we have introduced a novel skew estimation using skew angles. The images contained in the old print documents are studied with the help of the skew angles. To do so effectively, we have recognized the bigger objects. In the next step we have calculated the skew moments that helped to de-skew them finally. The local skew angle reflects a fine variation of each text line after de-skewing document images. This process enabled to develop a vertical projection profiles of the de-skewed collection. Each line gets connected using text objects and finally the skew of the text of print documents are linked.
