Management approach to Scalable Databases in Web - the impact of Object and Relational Models

Saravanan Muthaiyah, Jude Ernest

Abstract Object Oriented (OO) technology has been widely celebrated as offering a revolution in computing that will resolve problems faced during developing and managing organizational information. OO has its foundation from programming languages such as C++. OO has implications for a very wide range of activities including Programming, Analysis and Design, Data Manipulation and also indirectly in Information Management and Information Sharing and a strong impact in web environment. The objective of this review is to compare OO and structured methodologies in the analysis, design and implementation of computer programs In this review we examine the difference between OODBMS and RDBMS and investigate into areas with findings of a suitable DBMS for web environments and why types questions. Finally we conclude with certain contributions by studying through Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The contents of the review comprises a bundle of conclusions drawn through surveys carried out in organizations which reflect the OO methodology, together with comparisons between structured and OO development approaches and also the practical experiences in adopting OO analysis and design.
